When Age of Sigmar was released, a narrative campaign quickly followed and (for some reason yet unknown to me) I decided we would play all the way through the campaign, collecting and painting each army as it appeared in the story.

Eighteen months, more than 2,000 miniatures, and nearly 90 battles later… we completed the Realmgate Wars, and did a battle report for every single fight!

I have summarised the whole campaign, battle-by-battle (https://ttgamingdiary.wordpress.com/2017/07/04/the-realmgate-wars-a-retrospective/), and it effectively details the whole Realmgate Wars storyline, from Sigmar's first attacks on Aqshy to the campaigns for the All-Gates.

I think we are going to have a little rest after fighting all of those (who am I kidding, eh?)…

Congratulations. I can honestly say that you made GW product more attractive to me than anything else I have ever read.

Most impressive Mongoose, most impressive. It is really very refreshing to see a gamer who embraced AOS to this degree and actually took the narrative and played the entire campaign through to conclusion. You give me much hope for immersive and narrative gaming and that it is still alive and well!

Your efforts show what the true heart of fantasy gaming is. It's not found in the hard, cold competitive statistical spreadsheeets of the hardcore tournament, but rather in the imagination and wonder of a world that offers the chance for us to engage with it and be immersed in it!

And we only used points in three of the games :)
