I'm trying to paint the rest of my 28mm Wayne's Legion figures, and may be willing to add more. But I would really like to find something that could fill in as a King's Howitzer in this scale. Yes I know there are some good old 20mm miniatures by Frying Pan and Blanket, and the new 18mm Blue Moon range looks super, but I already have a huge investment in stinky Old Glory figures, so I need a model that will work with them.

Should I simply invest in some 20mm 5.5" howitzers by Newline, or is there a better substitute? Thanks in advance for your help.

I scratch built mine. I used the carriage and wheels from Old Glory's 28mm screw gun pack and I used a 28mm Dixon swivel gun barrel and cut it down and drilled the bore. I also used the OG screw gun pack animals and loads for "limbered" mode. Check out my photos of them.

Here are a few photos of the guns and crews/transport. I ditched Photobucket, and put them on Flickr. I still haven't figured out how to get them to post.
