There are two new characters coming this week for pre order and then a new unit in July.

The Librarian can be done with or without helmet.

I'll probably do mine with.

The new squad guys are pretty cool. Definitely need some of them.

They have new Nurgle stuff too.

The Reivers look like the Primaris answer to scouts. Not sure about the Chaplain-esque skull helms though.

And based on their shoulder insignia they're a fast attack choice?

I have to put this to the community.

Who likes the capes on marine officers?

Who would prefer to see them go capeless?

I for one have come to really hate the capes.

I like the capes on the Scouts – whci I do in camo; I agree for the regular Marines they make no sense

I'm okay with the capes, but I'd like to see an option. It may be part of the backpack.

I'll very most likely be taking the helmet brush off.

Love the Librarian and the Reivers (though I'm not sold on the skull mask, I like to keep those for the Chaplains…)

They work better with some Chapters than others. I like them for Ultramarines and Imperial Fists. They don't work so well with Iron Hands, White Scars or Raven Guard. They work well with Dark Angels and I'm neutral on them for Blood Angels.

A fur cloak would look good on a Space Wolf, not so much a cape.

I like those 'scout' marines. I like the masks, the stripped down armour and the fact they are 'quick builds' as well… I am not a fan of the lower leg armour though… it looks a bit 'chopped off'.

Nothing a sliver of greenstuff wouldn't cure though :) .

The capes might be worn for ceremonial affairs but they have nothing to do on a battlefield. Very dangerous if you ask me for the wearer of such a commodity when in close combat ! Tripping etc can happen quickly!
Just red the book "I am Slaughter" . The main character there ( an Imperial fist captain) says exactly that . Wear it on ceremonials but not on the field of battle.

Did you ever see Darth Vader trip over his cape?

"Most impressive. Obi-Wan has taught you well. You have controlled your fear. Now, release your anger. Only your hatred can destroy me… argh! No, wait, hold on, I've snagged my cloak!!"

Ah yes I firmly believe the author was taking a shot at all the caped character models these days grin.
