It does seem to be largely recycling the (admittedly superb) books that we are all so familiar with. Does it contribute anything new? If so, could be very interesting.

issue 18 will be the last it will cover the French Infantry for the period 1815-1845 Restauration and Louis-Philippe's July Monarchy (Departemental Legions 1815-1820, Line and Light Infantry, Corsican Voltigeurs instead of "Tirailleurs" as indicated in the presentation, National Guard, Sedentary Companies…)

it seems Heimdal is struggling finding its footing with Napoleonic titles. They started out with expanded titles previously published by H&C [now deceased, RIP]….but since then, any books have been offered only in French [where the previous were translated into English].

And not too many titles at that?


I don't think anyone will ever complete the remaining volumes on Napoleonic French Dragoons [first 2 of 4? released by H&C].
