Whether you're thinking of playing SAGA, new to the game or already a convert, today's AAR is a very deep dive into the game. Here's hoping you enjoy and perhaps learn something useful. Cheers!

Nice! I just recently finished up my Irish for SAGA, although I have only played Lion Rampant with them so far.

I haven't had a chance to try Lion Rampant yet. We have a lot of choices for our skirmish armies and we can also drop them into warbases for a game of Hail Caesar or ADLG if we paint enough of them.

This is the golden age of gaming!

I'm looking forward to playing the game with my husband.

Can someone suggest a warband? I was thinking of using those armored knights from forgefire.

Great question. If you want to run knights, the Fireforge ones are great and you could run them as Crusaders or the Milites Cristi (so you get a 2 for 1 painting them up). You'd want to have the Saga Crescent & The Cross rulebook.

PS: Your husband is a lucky man!

That looked like a fun game.

The vikings are probably the easiest to use first time out. The others have more subtle characteristics that take a few games to get used to.
