This week I finished painting my new Victory Class Star Destroyer liberated from a Star Wars Armada box set. If you haven't laid your hands on one of these by now you need to, they are quite nice. If you want to see some pictures I put them on my blog:

Handsome beast. I'd collect the living ship out of this line of minis, were it not for the price. One day I'll stumble on a bunch of 'em in a clearance bin…

Very nice! Care to share some tips on how you did the painting? I'm especially impressed with how the white lights really seem to glow.

@ScottWashburn

Only after I finished the paint job did I realize I forgot to take pictures for a painting tutorial. I am getting an
Imperator Class Star Destroyer soon and plan to rectify that mistake. For now though a couple posts back I have a tutorial on painting a Sovereign Class from Star Trek, some of the same techniques apply.

Beautiful work B P.
I wasnt aware FFG had stated what scale Armada was based on, 1/7000? Hmmm, in that case the 'real' vessels have to be enormous.

Hmm not familar w/ the 'living ship', but totlly agree w/ your point on the cost. THE very reason Ive never delved into Armada.
The miniatures, outstanding, the price per ship outrageous.

PTG: I'm sure you should take the 'ship' as a euphemism. Say the words, and think what it brings to mind. ;->=

Totally agree with all sentiments expressed.
