Been going through my collection and can simply not believe the amount of stuff one can acquire over a 20-year period. Not just in miniatures alone, but all the associated items including terrain, rules, etc.
Decided to focus on 6mm and 28mm for the long-term. Simply too much stuff left unpainted after all these years, took that as a hint that maybe it's time to make a change. Sometimes a good ole fashioned purge is needed.
This will be the largest sale I have done since liquidating a few game stores many years ago. Will be looking at doing this in weekly "waves", with a new wave each weekend. Starting small then gradually increasing to the larger collections. Will sell here the first week then anything remaining will go the eBay route. Not a huge fan of eBay any longer so hoping to avoid that as much as possible.
Each wave will include minis (painted and unpainted), associated terrain, rules and whatever extras.
Wave 1: 1/600 Modern 1980's (early and late 80's), 15mm Sci-Fi
Wave 2: 15mm Pre-WWII (Balkan Wars, WWI, Russian Civil War, Spanish Civil War).
Wave 3: 15mm WWII (Just about every front including Chinese Civil War).
Wave 4: 15mm Moderns and generic terrain (Angola, '82 Lebanon, Iran-Iraq War, 2003 Iraq War, 1980's US-Soviets, UN Forces, African Civil Wars, Ultra-Modern US and Russians, Rhodesia and more). Generic terrain including roads, trees and hills.
This will be a lot of work. Have some items that can be used in multiple eras, like Russian village buildings and a painted Peter Pig Soviet armored train, will have to decide where to place these. Any suggestions?
Thanks,
CW
