Here is a guessing game for you. Can you guess which Legations each of these are?

The very first person to identify them all correctly and responds here in the message board will win a free bag of Boxers (we considered briefs but you have to get boxers, not the underwear).

Remember, these are works in progress so will include other buildings. There is also one "generic" legation not shown. Also Chinese buildings, ruined buildings, generic wall sections etc.

Russians win the least-defendable gate prize, that Japanese legation is pretty cool looking. I can see how this may result in long-term debt for myself though… Not only for the buildings, but for the additional tables and larger house needed to store them in.

What scale are these?

skinkmasterreturns22 Jun 2017 3:17 p.m. PST

Look at the hubris of those westerners, constructing those tall buildings-Dont they know that they are not allowed to build as high as the Emperors walls of the Forbidden City?

The Russian gate actually has Iron bars on each side -- not cast yet. Once again, these are not quite complete.

stephen – 15 mm.

Okay, sweet, very, very sweet.

And congratulations to 22nd foot. And I'm fine with not 'winning' the contest.

But I cry foul nonetheless! This contest was bound to be won by someone with spare time in the middle of their weekday – and either foreknowledge or Google "foo". Shut out the greater unwashed masses out here in the ether.

Not to worry, though, your penance: you can just give away one of the legations in a more carefully constructed contest that allows more people to participate!

: )

More seriously, those are some fine looking models, even if incomplete. And you are going to need to make those central buildings available separate from all the associated walls and out buildings (I can see from one to three I'd buy a second one to paint differently for either the Indian Mutiny or for Musketeer Paris – with minor mods, perhaps. But only if available separately. Heck, I might also need to buy one to modify into a piratical structure. Or two. Or three.) Also going to need dimensions on the walls so we can decide how many legations we can get onto our tables. Though some crazy souls will buy them all for those convention games or because of their personal table sizes.

Hey, why are you looking at me when I said "crazy souls"?!

45thdiv22 Jun 2017 7:04 p.m. PST

Will there be a discount for us crazy souls? 😁

Early morning writer22 Jun 2017 9:11 p.m. PST

Discount? Sirrah, have you not updated your Old Glory Army Card in anticipation? I updated mine recently when Russ started intimating about the arrival of this range.

But, yes, I think an "all in" order just may deserve some additional discount! Maybe we'll get that, too, in the form of a Play Set. But, if so, that is going to be a wallet ouch. Especially if those fine folk at OG/BM include my wonderful model of the Sand Pebble ship – and its crew! (Getting tired of me, yet, Russ?!)

I have to be careful where I step near my computer now. There's this puddle of drool…

They look great …and yes making the buildings available separately from the walls would be good as colonial buildings like them will be very useful for other games.

I have the table space but fear I don't have the bank account for these! Very lovely though so may have to be selective and build the collection up over time!

They were not kidding when they said they are releasing an entire range. Too cool for words.

boy wundyr x23 Jun 2017 7:17 a.m. PST

Ah, cool about the Russian gate. Still deciding on which one would be my first choice, still liking that Japanese one.

Mundane question – will the Boxer range have its own icon or will it be under the umbrella of the Colonial icon on the web page?

Thanks.
