Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte warned that civil war could erupt in Mindanao if Christians start taking up arms to fight against the Islamist militants, The Manila Times Online reported on Wednesday. However, he said he would not allow this to happen in his statement during a visit to wounded soldiers at Camp Evangelista Station Hospital in Cagayan de Oro City. link |

ISIS, Al-Qaeda and the other radical groups with branches in the Philippines are hoping for an all-out religious war. I guess Dutarte wants to make sure they don't get their wish. He wants to make sure this remains a Law vs Lawlessness conflict. Dan |

Duterte's idea works if there is an forceful campaign undertaken by the government. He would have to show a heavy hand against the Islamic terrorists. If he doesn't, he risks forcing the people to defend themselves. |

"he said he would not allow this to happen",……….good luck with that. Filipinas usually do whatever is necessary to survive in life regardless of what the latest government official decrees. |

He should just declare they're all drug dealers, should take care of itself after a while. |
