Is there a Board devoted to ADLG? Sorry but I can't seem to find it although it seems to be sweeping across US gaming circles. Followup question … For a game that's been out for years why is it suddenly so popular? Seems like everyone is playing it and there are suddenly tournaments everywhere. Cheers!

Its only been out in English-language for the last couple of years, previously it was only published in French.

So, it's still quite 'new' to the Anglophone world, and it had the good fortune to come along at the same time as some of the other big-battle sets were old enough to start feeling a little tired.

Both of these contributed to the uptick in interest.

It also needs smaller armies and has shorter games than previous big-battle sets, which probably has helped it chime with the zeitgeist-y popularity of 'saga/skirmish game' format games which have becoming popular in recent years.
