So in film and television, who is your favorite action hero or superhero? The new film about Wonder Woman got me thinking about this.

Black Widow. Has no superpowers but kicks major butt.

Would be Elektra but I haven't been super fond of her portrayal in film or television yet.

Revealing my generation, my fav isn't a super hero but definitely a TV action hero: Diana Rigg as Mrs. Peele in the 1965-67 seasons of "The Avengers".

Drat. I was sloppy. "In film or television?" OK, pull Oracle and put me down for the Black Widow With Elasti-girl in second. But if we extend the range to books, Nile Etland from James H. Schmidt's The Demon Breed--and always a special place in my heart for Clarissa MacDougal, the Red Lenswoman.

Jeanne d'Arc. Imagine ordering about sucessfully a bunch of newbies, of obvious high morale and behavioral standarts, intricately well bred and cultured bunch such as the mid 100 y war French army…

Yvonne (Batgirl) Craig, Lynda (Wonder Woman) Carter, Lucy (Xena) Lawless, Sandahl (Valeria) Bergman, Electra Woman and Dyna Girl as above, Helen (Supergirl) Slater, the original Harley Quinn as in the animated Batman series; and Zatanna the magician altho' she has only made a few animated appearances.

Squirrel Girl is also tops!
