link A couple of years ago I did a review of the Blue Moon 15mm SYW British figures I had just purchased. Finally, in between other things (not like I get side tracked or anything !), I have finished the six Regiments I need for my Project Minden. Definitely recommend the Blue Moon stuff, especially the horses. I have moved on to Hannoverian Cavalry now and sadly BM hasn't brought any out so I have switched to Old Glory but I will be back to Blue Moon when I start work on the French. I'm organising a refight of Kloster Kamp so these will be in action soon. Regards Ken The Yarkshire Gamer |

Very nice indeed…. I too chose Minden when I wanted to to forces for SYW as the OOB to work from. Your horse certainly look the part. All my 15mm lead is old glory. Can you advise if the scales between BM and OG are the same? Eager to see your progress.. Thanks for the eye-candy!! Madcam. |

Cheers, Madcam2us, I would say the BM and OG figures are pretty similar in size and style and would fit together quite nicely. I'm working on some OG Hanoverian Cavalry at the moment so I will put some comparison pics on the next post. Regards Ken The Yarkshire Gamer |

Well, not sure for 18 th cty, but if the infantry worked ok in nappies, the cavalry does not at all, at least not in the same units. bM cavalrymen are quite smaller, esp. In bulk (more exercise, less sugar?). Alongside yes, same bases, no. |

I've just checked mine side by side and the OG are slightly bigger, as jcfrog suggests they would be fine side by side in different units rather than mixing the two in the same unit, which to be honest I very rarely if ever do. I will post some comparison pics on the next post when the batch of Hannoverian Cavalry that I am working on is done. Regards Ken The Yarkshire Gamer |
