I've asked this before, but naturally my saved link was lost.

I'm looking for said dragoons. They are not front rank or elite. But from one of the smaller companies. That makes odds and ends.

Look at Brigade Games here in the US. Mounted and dismounted. I kind of understand the differences you need for the pre-1812 dragoons and I think, from a quick look, that the Brigade Game French dragoons have the coat tails and lapels etc that you are looking for. I've purchased lots of Brigade and painted some (others remain in process). Very nice looking figures.

The riders are correct. The horses are not (horses have sheep skins)
If they had the correct horses it would have been an easy buy. Even with the high dollar and shipping.

But what about the recent Perry releases? Ideal surely.

We are assuming you mean 28mm.

Remind me, early dragoons had what style saddlery? No sheepskin and pistol holsters?

Thanks deadhead. I had completely forgotten that perry had released these.
They'll soon be releasing proper chasseurs too!
Now if only thru could start on 1805 russians!

The 1805 dragoons had sheep skins but horse blanket over.

Thanks for the education.

I obtained quite a few 1805 Russians (ex-Victrix) from Lon at Brigade Games a couple of years ago. Are they no longer available from him?

Hope not, was planning on getting another sizable batch of them from him this fall. Also hoping "Three Armies" will begin producing them as well.

No brigade games still have the russians (and to my surprise have expanded (all three main cavalry types are available) now only artillery seems to be missing.

The Russians are of course still available:

Will you be adding artillery soon?
