Southern supporter? Bermuda was/is a crown colony, it does not nor ever did set it's own foreign policy. Blockade runners went there to purchase cargo (just as rum runners did later) Britain was neutral during the ACW, and Lincoln had declared the Confederacy a co-belligerent rather than rebels, so purchase of goods was perfectly legal
