I want to run an AWI campaign based on the raiding across the Neutral Ground in Westchester County NY in 1778/79. Anyone know of a campaign system that focuses on raiding rather than maneuvering armies? |

Muskets and Mohawks by 2 Hour Wargames has a simple abstract campaign system. It is organized by seasons and you get a chance of a significant encounter each campaign turn. These encounters can then be played out on the table top. Since you are planning on a specific time frame it might be better to have each month or week be a turn as opposed to each season. |

Thanks for that. I actually have Muskets & Mohawks but forgot about the campaign system. I'm going to check it out now. |

If you haven't already got it, find yourself a copy of Todd Braistead's "Grand Forage 1778" which describes precisely the sort of operation you are recreating. link |

Camcleod, thanks, I downloaded a copy of Dawns & Departures and it looks very good. SM, I've been collecting info on Westchester County in the AWI for a long time and when 'Grand Forage 1778 ' came out it was like a dream come true. I really don't need much else to run the campaign. |
