Nice. It even printed the turret number. The Sherman in the distance looks good too.

Very cool ! What scale is that 'forced perspective' Sherman?

Sooooo…I've seen others do their home 3D printing here on TMP, but you can see the obvious layering lines…which can be a pain in the behind to sand out…too much work for me.

With that being said, the pics don't show any lines, but these are not up close pics.

The obvious question is will you print for order?

Looking for a 1:48 scale Soviet BT-7.

Thanks.

Got to ask, why? I can understand printing something that is not available, but is it really worth the cost of a printer and the time to get something that can be bought for £18.00 GBP?

Fish15 Jun 2017 2:57 p.m. PST

I'm seconding Vigilant's opinion.

Also the turret looks odly large…

Mooseworks815 Jun 2017 7:09 p.m. PST

Well worth it! No where else can I buy 15mm 40K stuff and many other things.

Redmist1122 contact Bashytubits TMP link he has expressed interest in bespoke orders. I can't find a file for a BT7 in that scale and he may have the CAD skills to make one.

Bashytubits15 Jun 2017 8:01 p.m. PST

I do have a file already done for a BT 7. If you want one Redmist please leave some contact info. Also there is a product made by smooth on for removing print lines that is very easy to use.

Vigilant,
based on my experience the plastiv for that T34 would be less than £5.00 GBP, thats £13.00 GBP to buy moch more stoff and helps ofsett the price of the printer.

If you cant see the layering on a pic like that at wargame ranges, I can't be a prioblem :-).

@Bashytubits,
I would be interested in a couple of BT-7s. I was one of your first customers…got the Dodge truck…sent you a pic afterwards. I had to vest a lot of time sanding out the lines. You mentioned a product made by smooth on for removing print lines…can you give me the product name so I can check it out?

I will search my emails for your email…I haven't re-newed my membership here…so no PMs.

Thanks.

I am also interested in a product from Smooth On to remove print lines. I have always heard that ABS can be smoothed by the application of certain substances, but not PLA. So I am very curious (unless, of course, this was printed in ABS in which case it all makes sense to me).

Mooseworks820 Jun 2017 9:51 p.m. PST

Printed in ABS.

This is Smooth On's product for 3d prints.
