Yesterday myself and the rest of Posties Rejects went down to the Broadside Games Show in Kent to put on our annual demo game. This year it fell to me to devise a game and provide the models so I decided my 6mm Desert War collection should see the light of day. I chose Operation Caravan, the LRDG raid on the Italian Airfield of Barce in Libya, September 1942.

Three of us umpired the game and spoke to the public while two other members of the group played the game. This worked really well because they got a challenging game to play and we were able to speak to nearly every visitor to the table.

We had already had a fantastic day when it was announced we had won Best Game in Show as voted by all the clubs that took part. To receive such praise from friends and peers in the hobby was truly humbling.

As usual there are loads more pictures on my blog and I have posted a series of articles about how we put the game together.

Thanks for great posts on a fantastic game! As a 6mm desert gamer, I am hugely inspired! The Posties are a really nice Group and I always enjoy their accounts.
