I have started to learn bolt action, reading the book, and watching some YouTube demos.I became interested when operation see lion was released as I have many VBCW troops that will be appropriate for this campaign, and maybe the rules for the episode.

Many of my figures have Molotov cocktail and grenades. In the sea lion Book it says, treat Molotov cocktail like grenades. However, I cannot find any rules for grenades. Can someone tell me what page number these rules are on. Second edition.

Does anyone else have a faulty table of contents. Notice there is no page 91 instead it is given as 95.

There are no rules for grenades. They are abstracted into the close combat rules. There are AT grenades but they allow you to ignore a morale penalty toassaulting tanks. There are rifle grenades in the Battle of the Bulge book also, but nothing for regular old grenades

Wow, Whitphoto is correct. I need to closely read the 2nd Ed rules.

In the 1st Ed, grenades allowed the attackers to go 1st in combat if storming a defended position (so long as the defenders didn't have them) instead of the combat being simultaneous.

It's always been that way, even in 1st edition. The only grenades you have ever been able to buy are anti-tank grenades. And all they do is get rid of the -3 penalty to the activation roll. The french had VB launchers and now with the new Battle of the Bulge book that have made grenade launchers available to all nations that historically had them.

I'd be interested to read any thoughts on Japanese grenade launchers, especially for GL squads.

On my third reading of the rules I at last found the text on hand grenades. Page 63, first column second paragraph.

There is also the section on tank hunters, listed in the table of contents on page 95 but not really on that page. A significant misprint here. Tank hunters are really on page 91.

It would be great if these rules had an index, has anybody made one?
