The organizers of the tournament have scheduled a dinner as a social event. Will you be attending?

As a generic question?

No.

Sit down dinners usually mean people either start eating as soon as the food arrives or wait until the last person is served and by then the food is cold. Or it's a buffet, in which case somebody will be complaining abut the lack of gluten free, non-fattening, sugar free tofu cubes like his mother makes, while scoffing down handfuls of those prawn/crab filled pastry cake things.

Of course! Tournaments are social events so sitting down and eating with the other players is just another way of getting to know more people.
