some weird alien invaders have been spotted on this kickstarter page!

28-32mm scale but they are tiny (20mm to the eyes, 22-23 top of the head), cast in metal
I'll post more pics from various angles soon
I hope you like them!

I love it!

I can imagine it all being part of an SF version of Groundhog Day.

Just think of this. One single alien guy … with the poor little fella doomed by some inexplicable fate to jump from period to period, fighting off big bullies, holy inquisitions and Area 51 vivisectors. But always stuck on October 31st.

The worst jumps will probably be those that end him surrounded by crowds of annoying little kids trying shove candy up his nose, while trying to tear off his "costume".

And you could even have a secret organization, the Von Braun Group (VBG), who has infiltrated NASA and has been waiting for his return every Halloween since Hitler's time to predict where little "Mr. Grey" will show up and try to catch him and steal his time traveling "trick".

Dan
PS. What was supposed to have been a short vacation on Earth, to check out Medieval Europe, ends up being the longest day of his life. :)

Now I need to rewatch Spaced Invaders….

"Prepare to DIE Earth Scum! Prepare to DIE Earth Scum! I am going to see that they carve that on your tombstone!!"

"Trinitrotoluene… great for removing stumps, gophers, and drastically improve the flight potential of the speed of a Martian spaceship."

OOOOooo… its on Youtube

Hey Mark,

1990? I know I was a newlywed then (well, 5 years already), but I don't remember ever seeing that film. Or hearing about it, and I we were always going to the movies.

Well, I guess I have something "new" to watch tonight.

Thanks!

Dan

@Sylvain: "Cacique Caribe, you have too much imagination! just kidding, there is no such things as too much imagination"

LOL. My wife says my brain experiences "rare and random moments of genius", as she puts it. I hope that scenario I wrote up qualifies a little. :)

you need to get a miniature of the alien genius to use as your representation ;)

the project is now funded, I'll post a new alien soon as a stretch goal!

I posted him in his own sculpting topic but I should post hime here too…
He travelled all the way to earth to discover ancient civilisations, to search for lost temples and to find hidden artefacts… but, most of the time, it doesn't go as planned and things get a bit messy!

Do'Kjonnz claims to be an archeologist. He collects rare artefacts from all around the galaxy in the name of "science" and "the eternal quest for knowledge". However, most academics consider him a mere tomb raider… The fact is, most of the time his "quests" end in a catastrophic way and the places he explores get destroyed! He doesn't seem to care that much though, as he generally has a lot of fun in the process. He even gets to punch some bad guys, so that's not too bad, right?

the coin is the size of an american or canadian quarter

you can learn more about him here: link

You could turn that idea into a series of humorous sci-fi books… ;-)

sounds like a lot of work, but if you fancy writting them please do, I'll just ask for very resoonable royalties :p

the resin version of Do'Kjonnz the clumsy tombe raider is funded, and the metal version should be soon!

Sylvain20 Jun 2017 2:49 p.m. PST

quick update, Do'Kjonnz the clumsy Tomb Raider has been unlocked (both resin and metal versions)

and his nemesis The Unnameable High Priest of the Elder Gods from Outer Space has been funded in resin with his scenery elements, and should be unlocked in metal as well soon

last 24h and a new stretch goal:

K'Ri is an authentic princess, but she left the comfort of her palace for a life of adventures. She travelled through a large part of the galaxy, smuggled toys for poor kids with a sleigh rider, fought against, and along, the space pirates, escaped a zombie apocalypse, discovered some ancient idols in lost temples with a charming archeologist… or was he a scoundrel? she isn't quite sure… but most of this was for a greater goal: defeating the Evil Galactic Empire!
Anywhere she goes, she is accompanied by her fluffy little follower: Mr. φ.Sher. This small creature indulges in sleeping and catching small aquatic creatures. But he also occasionally proves himself useful in action!
The third member of the trio looks like a rolling garbage can, or maybe a cooler for preserving Mr φ.Sher's prey? And why does it keep emitting all those annoying Bip Bip Biiip sounds? Nobody really knows what the deal is with this piece of scrap metal… until it's too late!
