I love living in New England. Sometimes.

I bought this from a swarthy man of ill-countenance that I encountered in the Dreamlands.

I just tried some. I now walk with a curious, hopping shuffle and my voice has become an unpleasant croak. I long to join my brothers beneath the waves on Devil Reef, where we will cavort and writhe to the maddening piping of He Who Is Not To Be Named!!!

Ia!! Ia!! Cthulhu Fhtagn!!!

I expected it to taste vile, blasphemous, noisome and putrid, with a somewhat squamous finish. Instead it tastes like a really good black lager, which it is (with a slightly batrachian aftertaste). Also 7.5 ABV. Enough of these could make a shoggoth drunk!

The house drink of the Necronomicon?

I'm a New Englander too. I have tried regular Narraganset beer but not that one. I've seen it at our regions purveyor of adult beverages.

I didn't know innsmouth had a brewery?

The penguins want to know 🐧 If you'd get it again?

Risky drinking anything from the Dreamlands--you might have wound up a galley slave or something. But growing gills is a small price to pay.

I like listening to the sounds that emanate from the salt marshes when weather conditions are right. They give a sense of… closeness…

You should be ok after drinking this, just don't drive and let the cat spaceship take you home.

About 15 years ago, for a 40th birthday present, I got a buddy 40 different bottles of beer -- picked mostly on label appeal. Some were national brands, but 3/4 of them were microbrews and "craft" beers. I put "craft" in quotes because of the 30 unknowns, he said about a half dozen were pretty good, another dozen were OK, and the rest ranged from could be worse to worse.

I don't remember the list, but I do remember getting him Three Stooges beer and that was one of the worst ones…

Twoball Cane: Sure I'd drink another. But please understand I rarely say no to dark beer. Or whisky. Or gin. Or scotch.

I saw it at a bar and bought it more for the can than to try it. But it was pretty good. 7.5 ABV is enough to feel it (even for me), especially when you drink the whole thing in less than 2 minutes.

I'm going to try and pick up a can.

Another favorite of mine is Magic hat # 9 and all it's iterations.

I'll post on here when I / if I find a can. I'm in western mass….lots to choose from.

Cheers

Make sure your first sip is a Deep One! (Sorry. You can blame my friend for that.)
