Later this year I'm putting on a weekend long Italian Wars game for The League of Gentlemen Wargamers. The game will take the form of a campaign where the table is the map.

The table will be a stylised map of Italy which, without walking spaces between the tables will be about 18 feet wide at its widest and about 30 feet long. It will cover Milan to Venice, the Alps to Naples.

I'm going to be providing most of the 2000+ figures for the game so I thought it might be a good idea to paint a few more so that the ten to twelve players (playing for Spain, France, Papal State, Venice, Milan, Florence, etc.) will have something to push about the place.

Olicana thanks for that lovely clear picture of the archer cavalry as I have some of them to paint this autumn.

Also what a good use for "Henry" especially the nearest one talking to my favorite foundry grumpy officer, by the way who makes those cream coloured cannons next to them.

One final question who makes the drystone walls you use around your cornfields that feature on your blog, have cornfields no walls.
Good Luck with the painting

Thanks, VT

I don't know who makes the them. I picked up all of guns (except the one I scratch built) on ebay. The one closest in the above pic is a WotR light gun on a Burgundian carriage – it's possibly a Foundry model, though Front Rank makes a nice one, as do OG.

Walls are by Andy W at Last Valley. They come ready painted and are cheap as chips.
