I still don't know. I'm waiting to hear back from my boss to see if I can have the Tuesday and Thursday off. We have an all-staff meeting on Thursday so if I don't hear something before then I'll try to nail her down on it at that time.

Even if I can't go for the whole thing I'll head down on Friday when I get up so I can be there Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

I plan on being there. Now if only I could see what the 3 different t-shirts look like. No picture on the site and nothing showing it in the flyer. Just a comment that says look at page 3 which doesn't show it. I also contacted them and no response yet.

My daughter's getting married that weekend, so it was a hard choice but you all can guess what I decided :-). The wife had some influence of course.

At least, "next year in Lancaster!"

I'll be there from Canada. Not running anything, but playing in a few games and a course from the Hobby University. I'm helping out Jeff with the Saga Tournament! (Make sure all you Saga fans sign up for Friday)

I'm glad both Pictors and Brigade Games are going as I have stuff to pick up from both of them.

Looking forward to seeing either one of the Stepman3 twins too! Finally, I'm going to make a point of getting to the A Smith Bowman distillery and pick up a rare bourbon.

The Wargaming Company will be running three Napoleonic games of Et sans résultat! Second Edition (ESR).

In addition to ours, looking at the PEL, there are four other ESR games being run by others. You can get a full list on our website.

Hope to see you at a game and don't forget to come visit us in the vendor hall where we'll have all of our publications in addition to several ranges of 6, 10 & 15mm buildings, and will be running a clearance on 15mm miniatures!

As mentioned in previous post but worthy of one last shameless plug:)

TMP link

Fox Family will give it one last show to blow out a bunch of my extra stuff from me getting out of the Miniature Hobby Vendor Business.

We are planning out our whole week now. Gettysburg on horseback either Tuesday or Wednesday(staying in Gettysburg Tuesday night. Staying with a family near DC Thursday night with a couple that offered and then arriving Friday evening in Fredericksburg. Somewhere in all of that is one day at water park.

Sydney has made me promise we bring ice cream for everyone Saturday night so be on the lookout:) She loves that kind of thing- we all do:) (and is still sore at me for dropping the shows)

Remember to please support BV Traders as they take over the Iron Wind Booth. They are really great guys.

Thanks Everyone,

Jim Fox

I'm there. I'll be giving a talk on the Dunn-Kempf miniatures game used by the US Army in the late 70s and 80s, followed by playing a Cold War turns hot mid 1970's game using the Dunn-Kempf rules. Always a fun time!

Can't make it this year unfortunately due to a family commitment. However, hope to be at Fall-In. I hope everyone has a great time at Historicon.

I just spent last night at the Hampton Inn & Suites next to the convention center (in town overnight for my main job). The facility looks like it is waiting for us.

Fall Hill Avenue has been completed and access to downtown is better than ever. Also, Hospitality Drive now has direct access to Fall Hill Avenue. And my visit to Wegmans was great.

Jim,
Sorry to hear this is your last rodeo, but from what you told me, you have to do what you have to do, best of luck to you with your new opportunity.

I look forward to seeing you and your daughter on Saturday as you graciously hand out ice cream treats to anyone who wants them.

Naturally I will be there as Minutemen Toy Soldiers; this year I am shaking things up quite a bit.

In addition to my three tables of prepainted toy soldiers, I will also have a raftload of painted and unpainted buildings, plus a large Russian Napoleonics MiniFigs army painted to a high wargaming standard, I will also have about 5,000 unpainted 28mm Napoleonics, Zulu War, Boer War, Indian Mutiny, French and Indian war and some Ancients and Medieval figures from Essex, Old Glory, Dixon, Minifigs and Wargames Foundry among others.

This is just the tip of the iceberg as I help a local gamer whos health is failing sell off his collection. He's got 6 huge dioramas of Waterloo, Aspern Essling, the James Gang raid in MN, a huge French and Indian war layout, an Indian Mutiny layout, a huge castle, Ancient greeks and Persians and Ancient Chinese warriors. He has about 20,000 painted and unpainted figures and loads of buildings I will be selling off over the next few years.

So there you have it……………….

Ember52 Supporting Member of TMP19 Jun 2017 4:19 p.m. PST

George,

Good luck selling your friend's collection…as well as your regular treasures. Really nice of you to take on that responsibility.

Thanks Scott, I couldn't say no to him, he's in a tough spot, so it's the least I can do………….his dioramas are incredible, pretty sad to see the look on his face as I was packing it all up, talk about a dose of reality as I'll be there too someday. We all will………………
