This is the company specializing in Chinese-themed historical and fantasy figures.

Their contact email is listed as tim@watchfulistudio.com, but I get a 'no such user' error message from there.

Their website is still up: watchfulistudio.com

And their Facebook page: link (no recent activity)

Watchful I Studio (Joe Krone) was at Little Wars in Lombard, IL a few weeks ago. The email listed on Facebook is joe@watchfulistudio.com.

Hope that helps.

The website says this.
In order to better prepare for the Terracotta Army Kickstarter I feel it is necessary to postpone the launch so my European partner can have the appropriate amount of time to prepare molds and their production. This process will take a few months so the Terracotta Army Kickstarter will launch later this year, most likely in the 3rd or 4th quarter. We will continue to work on products and hopefully sneak in some new releases during this time and I greatly appreciate your patience and understanding. Our official announcement regarding the new partnership will be coming soon as we wrap up the final details.

Joe tells me that he bought out his partner Tim in January 2016, and that the business is active. He is now involved in taking care of any issues involved with buying out his former partner.

Didn't I read they have plans for other armies?

Hello everyone. Watchful I Studio is alive and well. We had an ownership transition about 18 months ago and now the company is solely owned. We are continuing to release ancient Chinese miniatures including a full range of Terracotta Warriors as well as other fantasy troop types. We are currently working on a Mauryan Indian range and have about 12 different infantry sculpts already done. Concept art and products are continuously being developed and we just started writing a rules set to support our miniatures. We also recently signed an agreement with a European manufacturer and distributor who will represent our interests in Europe and make our products more accessible to the European consumer. We will have a more formal announcement as we get closer to making the products available with the European company.

In the end, we have no plans of going anywhere anytime soon and we hope that you will continue to support us and enjoy our releases. Thanks,

Joe Krone
