Excellent!

donlowry02 Jun 2017 4:47 p.m. PST

Nice, but one in a prone position would be more useful.

Also, the foliage on the helmet would not be very useful in places like Stalingrad.

wrgmr102 Jun 2017 5:28 p.m. PST

Great figures!
Donlowry, you can just carve the foliage off. Also cut off the scope and you have a regular Landser.

Greebs02 Jun 2017 5:43 p.m. PST

To be fair, Stalingrad might be too early for the smocks anyway…

Pat Ripley Fezian02 Jun 2017 8:15 p.m. PST

very nice.i like these not prone. it makes them easier to base singly.

huevans01102 Jun 2017 8:15 p.m. PST

Wow! Lovely, Leon!

Do you have any other metal 22mm releases planned?

Cardinal Hawkwood02 Jun 2017 9:52 p.m. PST

…and the ankle boots and gaiters

donlowry,
the German training emphasised shooting from standing or kneeling position not prone. Shooting from prone is what we think of when thinking of sniping but actually its limiting in terms of observation and mobility.
The whole uniform is too early for Stalingrad.

huevans011, yes panzerfausts and pzshrecks are due for the PzGrenadier range and there are some 'stumel' crews up coming later this month.

Great work.
As usual.

I have read the WW" German sniper manual,it stresses that shooting be done from either standing or kneeling, not prone.
I have also read accounts of German snipers who prefered kneeling over prone which was done if it was really the only way.

These are great figures and what is very impressive to me, which it seems is so often lost in today's figures is the life-like movement. Men who actually dare to crouch and/or bend their knees.

I should have said 'too late' for Stalingrad……….I shouldnt try to breath and type at the same time………….

Fantastic work as usual, Leon! I will be ordering these (and more) as soon as they are available.

Somehow I managed to miss the Adler range! They look great. I'm currently selling off some older figures and Adler will be on my replacement list.

Keep in mind Leon also is responsible for the new desert sculpts from PSC. They are every bit as lovely as these!

TunnelRat05 Jun 2017 4:18 a.m. PST

Beautiful work as always Leon.
