The British Airborne really needed to form a resolute defence for this scenario. After two games the Germans were having it all their own way. They were attacking in force against a weakened Para platoon that was still waiting for men to turn up from the drop zones. The action now moved into Ranville itself, terrain much better suited for defence and the missing paratroopers had started to show up in numbers. There could be no token defence here. What unfolded was a tense, exciting and ultimately very bloody game. More details and pictures here link
