Howdy folks, I thought I would save some 1's and 0's and consolidate all of my post-Cangames blogposts to this one TMP post. Cangames took place in Ottawa over the recent long weekend (Queen Victoria holiday). It is a 3 day convention with miniature gaming, rpg'ing, and board gaming a plenty. cangames.ca I had a pretty open schedule, family wise, this year and I was able to take in gaming on all 3 days. For your viewing pleasure, I leave you the following posts: link (random pics of tables throughout the weekend) link (Friday night Frostgrave) link (Force on Force on Ambush Z) link (Saturday Bombards and Bayonets) link (Flight of the Apocalypse – Zombies!) Hope you enjoy the pics…cheers.

Happened to be on a business trip in Ottawa while this convention was going on Loved it as a smaller convention – from the vendors to the gaming Gaming ranged from Fantasy to Historical – even some kids games with prizes – more than a half a dozen vendors as well – In addition to the pictures above there was a nice WWI game going on as well – quite a few older games, good discounts on miniatures and more Since I couldn't attend much of the gaming due to meetings – I really appreciated being able to go in, look around and buy from vendors without a fee – and shop I did : Will be an event I plan to attend in the future – only this time will plan to stay and game |

Thanks for posting Stan, I've just gotten my April and early May activities posted, so my Cangames report is still not up. I enjoyed playing on the French side with you in the Fort William Henry game, despite our failure to get and stay inside. This was my first time there and I had a good time, getting a feel for the con. I hope to be back next year and maybe run a game or two. My older Ottawa-area nephew will be old enough to come and game too, though I'm not sure I'll turn him loose on the kids area yet. Cheers, Chris R. |
