Hi all,

some of you might remember that many years ago there was a series in Military Modelling on flags and uniforms of the English Civil Wars.

Here on the BCW Regimental Wiki we are very fortunate to be given permission by the author and illustrator, Charles Kightly and Tony Barton to put the articles up online. Here's the link to the pdf file link

This is a slightly edited version of the originals, with some additional notes etc. Please let me know if there's any additional annotation that would be useful.

All the best
Tim

Great! I saved all those MM's--now moldering away in box somewhere.

Downloading immediately.

Well done, Timbo – first class resource. Was there an article on NMA flags (ECW and Commonwealth)?

I remember those, hugely helpful. Many thanks for making them available again!

Thanks all! But mostly thanks to Charles & Tony for letting us host this.

Hi SuperMax, there are some NMA flag designs in with the Parliamentarian horse and foot articles.

If you're after NMA foot I think we have reasonable guesses for flag colour at least for 11 of the 12 original regiments, see here link

Cheers

Tim
