A few years ago I painted three Bavarian cavalry units and was going to 'get around' to finishing a fourth unit. They were sitting on a shelf, undercoated and patiently waiting for some attention; so their turn finally came a few weeks ago.

I was a dragoon unit to complete the set – 1st and 2nd Dragoons and 1st and 2nd Chevaulegers.

Hope you like the pictures.
Cheers,
Mick

Front Rank I suspect. The painting is brilliant and the sheer number of figures makes for a wonderful display.

I have to say I grudgingly do like the figures themselves, although I usually condemn cavalry from Front Rank as ill proportioned, however superb the casting quality.

This made me go back to the website to look at the range. they are steadily getting better and these are superb

Looking at the horses, i would say Foundry. Superb miniatures by the Perry brothers twenty years ago!

Thanks deadhead and Decebalus.
These are Foundry figures.
The style is a bit different to Front Rank but these were the best looking range (to me) before the Perry's made their new Bavarian line.

Of course!

The proportions should have told me…….Agree entirely about the superior quality of the figures.
