Those are really great paint jobs!

Thanks gents. My main wash is a homemade brew: Reaper Master Paints Walnut Brown, thinned down 10:1 with my homemade airbrush thinner. I swear it contains magical properties which are beyond my comprehension. Much superior to anything from a store.

They are a very nice, enviable collection. You have done a great job painting them, you have skills.

Thank you for sharing.

Great figures with paint jobs that do them justice.

Breathtaking!

My Dad has some Mystery Ogres (that he was casting) that he painted with a particular skin tone that I'm trying to replicate on other Ogres and such. Since these were likely painted when I was three years old he doesn't remember the mix and they likely don't make the paint anymore.

I think your Ral Partha's look nice, and I wouldn't mind collecting them, but I don't particularly like the javelin poses. I would likely re-position them (which would feel a bit like a crime against humanity, modifying a Bob Olley like that.)

I like them myself. Not sure how you could reposition them.

I have all the old Ral Partha Bob Olley Trolls as well which I think I am going to paint up in the same scheme. They look quite similar facially and one could easily rationalize that Ogres from different clans look different (similar to the Giants in Jack the Giant Slayer). That provides 24 different sculpts with which to build an army out of.

The Ral Partha Bob Olley sculpts bear a strong resemblance to the OOP Mage Knight Krugg figures. I have a bunch of the MK Krugg figures which I use for Ogres. If you like this style, check out the MK Krugg figures. Cheers!
