I've recently bought some 1/3000 navwar modern ships. They look great, but I've no clue how to start painting them (I mostly do 28/20mm figures).

Can anyone share some good hints or guides?

Assuming you want colours then which countries do you have? Which paint supplier do you prefer?

I keep it really simple. Spray undercoat is a grey automotive primer, decks are usually buff or reddish brown. Wash heavily with black, then highlight with the original deck colours, (I try to get stripes in for planking), and a neutral grey for edges and turrets etc.
