Really guys? You are getting upset because a classy theatre is screening Wonder Woman for all female audiences?
Pull up your man pants and get a grip. Stop acting like such fragile flowers.

Stryderg26 May 2017 3:27 p.m. PST

I'm offended that you are not offended by this, which will probably offend you, even though I'm not trying to be offensive… my head hurts a little, I'm going to lie down a while.

Cardinal Ximenez26 May 2017 3:27 p.m. PST

So I'm guessing they'll allow males who self identify as females to attend.

nevinsrip26 May 2017 3:29 p.m. PST

Where does Bruce/Catlin Jenner sit?

I'm cool with it as long as they don't balk at my men only screening of Black Hawk Down.

and the beat goes on…………

Typical Deleted by Moderator garbage. They would be screamed no discrimination if it had been for an all-male audience. But they feel they can do it.

Sorry but as a DoD certified investigator for discrimination issues, I would have to post an "off limits" sign on the door, if I had been inspecting a complaint about this.

Gosh. I never seem to run out of stupid things to get outraged about. I can only dream!

This, however, doesn't really rate up there with things like foreign wars or domestic woes or whoever thought The New Monkees was a good idea.

Mako1126 May 2017 5:08 p.m. PST

Is it just me, or is that sexist?

Imagine the outrage if this were reversed…….

I'm far more outraged over many, many, many other STUPID things.

I'm with TGerritson.

In the front row!!

Winston Smith26 May 2017 7:44 p.m. PST

Imagine the outrage if this were reversed….

Now THAT is the reaction I find most comical. SO WHAT?!???!

All this harrumphing over a section of society who feels marginalized having fun with a movie that is in sync with their own wishes for what a movie should be.
I say, "Go Girl! Enjoy it!"
I'm sure that I wil enjoy it because it looks like a fun movie. . And if someone of an opposite orientation than mine wants to enjoy it more, I'm ok with that.

One of today's problems is the unwillingness of some to let others enjoy what they want to enjoy on their terms.
It's like demanding that I not enjoy Blazing Saddles because it's not in touch with today's zeitgeist. And getting outraged because others do not like Blazing Saddles.

Like what you want, in the company you want. And if someone can make a buck off it, well that's fine too.

I am outraged that Wonder Woman is so skinny. Gal Gadot is a nice girl, no doubt, and easy on the eye, but WW should have a wider, ehem, frontage.

I am mildly annoyed that my wife can't take me to this showing. That does seem a bit too much.

Cacique Caribe27 May 2017 2:44 a.m. PST

Yep. I think this is great. Now we might finally be able to see action films without chicks* being there in the theater!

Dan
* And then asking us to get them popcorn in the middle of the main shooting or car chase scenes.

Try as I might, I cannot envision a set of circumstances under which I would give a damn about this.

Just another bit of Mordor in our lives.

The sound of old leather chairs creaking, respectable newspapers being crumpled, cigar ashes and monocles falling is absolutely deafening ! It's even worse than wearing a boater after the first day of spring !!!

Mako1127 May 2017 1:07 p.m. PST

Move to a new state.

There are plenty of things to keep you occupied, in some of them.

Khusrau27 May 2017 4:36 p.m. PST

Well, there are still plenty of places that are men only, like golf clubs etc here in the UK, so I see no problem.

oldnorthstate27 May 2017 6:14 p.m. PST

"Like what you want, in the company you want. And if someone can make a buck off it, well that's fine too" Nobody is arguing that shouldn't happen…the hypocrisy here is that the same 3rd wave feminists who want to highlight how important this movie is to women, are the same SJW's who would throw a tantrum if someone organized a men's only movie premier…that hypocrisy is the issue.

Winston Smith28 May 2017 6:36 a.m. PST

All of those "Imagine if….." scenarios boil down to one thing. The key word is "imagine". Has it happened? You're expecting the Bad Guys to operate by your logic of how they should behave.
Get back to me when it does. And until then, get off my lawn!

From what I can see … at least on TMP. There will never be a shortage any topic(s) that won't inspire some to righteous indignation, outrage, upset, annoyance, etc. from some/many. On this little piece of the virtual universe known as "TMP" …

Old Contemptibles29 May 2017 7:29 p.m. PST

When I was younger I had no problem with Ladies night. But then again Gents were invited. Which was kind of the point.

Old Contemptibles29 May 2017 10:41 p.m. PST

In some cities they have mom showings. Where mom can bring their baby to the show without ruining the show for everyone else. Usually a matinée. I am 100% for that.

nazrat31 May 2017 6:36 a.m. PST

+1 to pretty much everything John has said.

The funny thing is that it's the ones who generally bandy about the idiotic "snowflake" term that are making most of the fuss about this. 8)=
