Shapeways has dropped its FUD/FXD Prices so much that they are often cheaper than the old black, white, and transparent detail materials. This monster dropped by $62 USD link |

Yeah, nearly all of my 200+ products went down. This set dropped from $95 USD to $28 USD! link
A small number of items (6 or 7) went up in price, but not by much. My 6mm DeathBot Abattoir doubled in price, but I'm already working on revising it to take best advantage of the new FUD design guidelines and pricing model. |

Excellent! When is Shapeways' next sale? |

I'm interested in running my stuff through the new prices and seeing what happens. I've been using strong and flexible but the detail lomitations are infuriating. Here's hoping.. |

Is this a permanent thing? |

How durable are FUD aircraft wings vs. the WSF stuff? |
javelin98 | 25 May 2017 3:02 p.m. PST |
@boy wundyr: Yes, this is supposedly a permanent thing! @Mako: I've found FUD to be pretty hearty. Thin wires tend to be more fragile in FUD, but surfaces with long connections -- like wings -- seem to do fine. |

Thanks for the info, Jav. Much appreciated. |

Thanks Javelin, that's a pretty seismic shift in pricing! To echo Javelin on FUD durability, I've only had trouble with really thin things like landing gear, struts, and the occasional missile. But I've had some WSF missiles break off too if they take enough accidental shear force. |
