I'm looking to add some Engineer support to my 15mm Stryker company, so I'm looking for the light bridge, High Mobility Engineer Excavator, and M105 Deployable Universal Combat Earthmover. I need one or two bridges, two HMEEs, and two DeUCEs. Bridge on HEMTT/PLS
Bridge deployed
High Mobility Engineer Earthmover (note the built-up cab. though I could use a civilian model in a pinch, I want to use the uparmored version as this would be supporting a combat mission, not behind the lines)
M105 DEUCE
Any suggestions for sources? I would also need Volcano and MICLIC trailers, but trailers are easier to scratchbuild. |

The only people who make any type of 15mm HEMTT as far as I know are QRF. Theirs is a standard cargo body though, so you would have to cut the body off and scratch build the bridge. The HMEE is available in ho scale 1/87 which is probably as close as you are likely to get and will only be a tiny bit over scale, not enough to notice on a one off next to 15mm figs, here's one on eBay auction Afraid I don't have a clue where you would get the last one, or even something you could convert. I' d be interested to see how you get on, good luck. Egg |

@Freerangeegg: Thanks for finding the HMEE! I'm OK with going with HO scale for that, though $20 USD each hurts a bit. Well, if I'm lucky, that QRF HEMTT's cargo body is separate from the frame. Kinda looks like that might be the case from the pic on the QRF site. Geoff? Also, I found trailers on the QRF site (they're in the British softskin section). May not be totally right, but buying a trailer will be easier than scratchbuilding, especially since I need lots of trailers. Most of the Hummvees/MRAPs are pulling a trailer, as are all the engineer Strykers. And sometimes a regular Stryker pulls a MICLIC, my buddy got caught in the blast when the MICLIC his Stryker was pulling blew up (no major damage to him, and I don't think anyone in his platoon got badly injured by it, either). Looking at the tracks, I might be able to use a Bv206 (facing backwards) as the basis of a DEUCE, wasn't QRF working on Bv206 models? |
