Thanks for the comments. The base green is from Mr Hobby and from their Mr Colour lacquer acrylic range. The colour is Russian Green (2) paint #136. They describe it as 'USSR tank late war'. I don't use it as is, but lighten for scale using a buff or middle stone. No exact measures, I just do it by eye.

Not sure a maxim would fit. That aperture was pretty narrow. You might have to stick with a DT.
