This is a re post as the last thread seemed to vanish for no reason.

As a matter of policy if all else is equal an you have a reasonable choice would you chose to counter attack cutting enemy off from his logistics links or do you re-enforce the defenses and stop the attach at the front. I have recently been been in a game where these were the options. I chose to defend but mainly perhaps I did not consider the alternatives. So is there a definite preferred policy if the options are there. A bit like the Russian re-enforce winners not losers.
