In a world before Brexit, England was known for its multiculturalism and fierce independence. Where strange men bounced around the countryside to blood thumping background music, their servants banging coconuts in their wake. But there were those in Europe, who looked upon England with envious eyes, and made their plans.

I suppose he is being anachronistically cheeky. Picts invade "England" (Northumbria? Mercia?) and are intercepted by Vikings.

Sorry, as an American, I sometimes am not quite sensitive to the regional differences of Great Britain. This hypothetical battle could have occurred in what is modern day Scotland, around 900 AD.

Nice report and good looking game, BTW.

I love how your original post was fun and happy, then some TMPer took a Bleeped text on it and ruined the fun. Great report. Glad to see others with nice Pictish forces!

Referring to a Scot as 'English' might be equated to calling someone from the Southern United States as a 'Yankee'.
Now our relationship with the Picts is somewhat odd. To paraphrase the Declaration of Arbroath: we are the Scots. We came from Ireland and destroyed the Picts, so the land is ours now…

Nice report though!

Maverick2909 – that was awesome! I laughed out loud.

Thank you.

Albion, Britain, England, GB, UK, … take your Pict.

Little known fact the Picts were first with the tramp stamp tattoo.

Advocate, you're being obtuse. You know the OP probably meant United Kingdom instead of England…
