Do we know the official platoon structure in Red and White armies in SCW ?
I know that the battlefield units strenght varied but I must find anything to start with. I'm trying to adapt CoC rules to RCW and Soviet-Polish war.

Sounds interesting. Good luck with an interesting period. I think the platoon might be too small to be independent. You would probably need to field a company as the smallest tactical unit? If you can get several companies on to the table you could then have fun by adding a couple of armoured cars or even have a scenario around an armoured train.

Hiding this in InterWar not the RCW board meant I almost missed it.

Sure we know the official platoon structure for most of the armies. The Reds one is easy enough to find, the AFSR used their own and the other Whites (probably) kept the Tsarist one. Send me a mail.

When you say that you "know that the battlefield units strenght varied", are you aware quite how much? We're talking of 1,000 to 5,000 man divisions in practice.

My looking at it says that platoons were not in general viable units -- tiny numbers and lack of officers and qualified NCOs mostly -- and that you should start at company, like Martin says.

Thanks Mark for your comment.
Somehow I totally missed RCW board.
