Perhaps, if you can find someone visiting in the USA this Summer, and have them ship to the hotel/motel, or person they're visiting, they could carry the stuff back for you in their luggage.

I've done that in the past for people visiting from the UK.

Yes, that's a good idea and a few friends have used that very system before.
