"Manchu Bannermen" Topic

I have been looking at Outpost Miniatures Manchu Qing range. can I use these for Bannermen in the Boxer Rebellion period???

Hmmmm, I hadn't thought of that…maybe a bit too early, given the span of the Manchu dynasty?

You can use the heavy cavalry as officers, the full kit was used to denote rank, or even one or two cavalry units. Beyond that its as sj says above.

Should you want Tatar cavalry Museum Miniatures mongols are good and fit with outpost. You can see mine here.

Foot Bannermen are a challenge, mine are from Falcon but are now virtually unobtainable.

OG Boxers or Irregular could be used.

These are Irregular who also make Tigermen and Jingals.

Thank you gentlemen. I will be getting some cavalry, but just for fun, I will get some of their armored halbardiers for a guard unit for the general.

Those are some great looking Boxers, OB. (Erm, that sounds a little off – you know what I mean!)

I second the recommendation for Khurasan and Irregular

@badwargamer, already ordered from Irregular, I already have some Khurasan artillery and jingals, however their website is down at the moment so will have to wait to order more.
