Those look great! Thanks for sharing. Need to buckle down, and paint some myself, so I can get to gaming with them. |

Thanks guys! Mako – these ships are soooo easy and fast to paint, if you like the look of mine I've included the paint colours and techniques on the blog. You could easily knock out this many models in a couple days' effort. Cheers w. |

Beautiful fleets! Well done! What rules do you use to play? |

Thanks Scott, no rules as of yet but we've used the Star Wars WotC rules for space battles (with some mods of course)… I'm thinking that those may work for us. Cheers w. |

Have several of the large lovelies from Chris, all sadly still waiting paint, but will say I consider Bashytubits offerings TMP link more appropriately titled 'fleet scale.' However, yours look so good you only deepen my guilt at wasting the use of such. Doug |

I see large BGS games (with those same brand of models) being played at almost every HMGS convention. I wonder what rules they use? |

Congratulations, they look great! Surfing Shapeways, I happened across a miniature IIRC it was listed at about $7 USD – $8 USD ea. Sorry its been 'months' since I have been to Shapeways so I dont recall the name of the 'maker'. However.. if you want to see a 'Great' rendition of the BS Galactica, go to their site and search for "Galactigator". Yes you read that right, GALACTIGATOR (who could make that up?). The mini is done in WSF (white soft flexible) material. BUT it appears to be an Excellent replica of the original BSG! |

I had to read back over this.. it seemed something was missing but I couldn't figure it out. Then I realized: (just an opinion here) You didnt get any of Str Ftr Ship Yds lists as the "Colonial Battlestar TOS", on their site. I just found it interesting as your project seems to center around the First Cylon War, which IIRC in the 'story line' the TOS, aka Colombia class Battlestar was 'the' main BS during that war. Ive also looked at & compared Bergstrom & Str Ftr Yds fighter miniatures. IMHO you made the right choice w/ Bergstrom's. They are slightly smaller, that only makes them look better when using 2 per base as you did to represent a sqdrn. BTW Hat pins for fighter stands. Brilliant! I will be putting that in my 'mental' bits box for the future. |
