How difficult would it be to trim the full hulls of these models to their waterline for tabletop gaming?

I managed to do the junk models family easily. There was a spine of cross sections and I had to trim them all miss out some of the lower planking and then put a piece of car or wood as a base. Not exactly easy but perfectly doable and no harder than waterlining anything else.
