We played this a couple of months ago and just now getting around to editing the flickr set.
It was the Japanese flank attack game and we did it as a 4 player game.  So added another weakened 2 section Aussie platoon and a light tank unit of 2 ) Ha Gos and 2) Te Ke tankettes.
Japanese were pretty aggressive -as they should be -- but their 'armour' just couldn't get moving.

On to game 9, where the even more reduced Australians have to destroy a Japanese roadblock

A delight to look at, as always. Your tables have been a huge inspiration for my own Pacific/Burma project. I like your mat, did you make it yourself? If so, would love to know how.

Tac Painter,
It is an old bedsheet that has been dyed and resprayed dozens of times over the years. I use pastels for roads, ditches, shadowing,… which I mostly wash out after each game. The different effects are just from age at this point.
Thanks

Mark, sounds like the aging process on the mat has worked very well, even if unintentional. I had wondered how your roads and tracks always seemed to be in the right place, now I understand. Thanks for sharing.
