With nearly 1,000 more TMP members than Peru, and 5,000 Americans wishing they could relocate there, SHOULD California have its own TMP board? |

I'm with Winston. I'll back secession and a separate board, but secession should come first. Where does the 5,000 figure come from, by the way? California's had a net outflow of US citizens for some years now. |

Yes. Why Not? Go for it. |

"Where does the 5,000 figure come from, by the way?" I took it to mean that 5,000 California residents were desperate to relocate to Peru. |

I don't care much but I'd no more want one than a NI, Welsh, English or Scottish board (as opposed to a UK board). Unnecessarily divisive. Just my two Euros worth… John T |
dualer | 16 May 2017 10:48 a.m. PST |
+1 to John. I live in Scotland and have no need for a seperate board. We already have a UK board. |

More like 5000 who want to leave CA. Here in AZ. we keep getting the refuges many of whom seem to want to screw up AZ like they did CA. |
Cacique Caribe | 16 May 2017 2:37 p.m. PST |
And "5,000 Americans wishing they could relocate there"? Where? Here on TMP? Lol. Well, I'm not one of those for sure. :) Dan PS. I'd be ok if they seceded, though I think they would quickly become Chinafornia soon after: link |

Allen57 | 16 May 2017 3:25 p.m. PST |
Do I understand that you propose a separate board based on the number of members from California? I don't wish to be dawghoused so wont call you what I think you are. Perhaps you should go set up your own website and invite all Californians and California wannabes to leave TMP and join your new California Miniature site. |
Oberlindes Sol LIC | 16 May 2017 3:51 p.m. PST |
Chill out dudes. California is way too laid back to, like, have its own board 'n stuff. We'd rather just hang with the rest of the world, like we do when we're on our surfboards, skateboards, snowboards, watching billboards go by on the highway, cutting sashimi on our redwood cutting boards, you know, like, totally. |

Yes, the People's Worker's Paradise of California expects and demands its own TMP Board. It will, of course, become the model of discourse and efficiency, just like UC Berkeley. Also, in order to follow the democratically determined mandate of ever increasing taxes to be spent on programs meant to give a helping hand to those who are unfortunate to have been born in a less wealth family, oppressed freedom-loving race, or a misidentified gender which was defined by the Patriarchy, you will all have to pay $25 USD for the new California board, whether you intend to ever use it or not. How DARE you withhold the money that our brilliant governor, and his trusty sidekicks, deem that you are allowed to keep of your ill-gotten gains. Of course, if you deny climate change or insist that people actually HAVE to be a citizen of this country in order to vote, collect public welfare benefits, receive in-state tuition breaks, and qualify for financial aid for higher education, then YOU must pay TRIPLE! And if you think leaving and never coming back here will absolve you of your absolute duty to pay up, think again. The State Franchise Tax Board agents will find you, confiscate all of your possessions, and force you to listen to 8-track tapes of the Village People until you confess that you are racist, sexist, genderist, elitist, bigoted, and that you belong to a white supremacist organization. |
