I'm travelling to Houston soon for work, are there any good gaming stores with historicals in stock?

Thanks

rampantlion, what are you looking for? That will help us direct you to one or more of the many game stores in Houston.

There was once a store here called Little Wars that closed here in Houston many years ago. No store since then has ever focused so much on historical miniatures.

The stores Mitochondria lists above all carry a number of mainstream game and miniature lines, like Flames of War and Bolt Action, but few of them carry a large selection/variety of historic rule systems, periods, and scales and I don't know of any one store that carries extensive lines of terrain in all the popular wargaming scales.

They all are more than willing to turn to their respective distributors to order you anything you want, but the economics of doing business means they generally only stock on their shelves what is most popular and what is actively being played by player-groups based in and/or frequenting their store.

I have a friend in Houston who gave me all of his Napoleonic minis because he couldn't find anyone interested in historical gaming over there.
