Hi all. Maybe this has been done before but I was thinking about kitbashing some older style chaos thugs from parts of the GW Marauders of Chaos and Frostgrave Cultists. I have not picked up the Frostgrave set yet -- does anyone have both sets and would they be reasonably compatible? A lot of those heads look passbly thugish to me, and I could add some details with putty.
I also have some bits left over from the Empire Flagellents kit and hope they might work with the FG stuff (they flagellant arms are a bit puny for the barrel-chested marauders but I might let one slide that way as a mutant).

I have not begun working on it yet, but purchased the following kits specifically to kitbash Chaos barbarian types:

--GW Marauders
--GW Flagellants
--GW Zombies
--Frostgrave Soldiers
--Frostgrave Barbarians
--WF Vikings/Saxons (esp heads)
--GB Vikings/Saxons (esp heads)

Plus I figure odd Empire militia and Bretonnian men-at-arms might give me a few pieces.

The Frostgrave plastics are much smaller than plastic marauders.

One problem you will have, at least trying to use the arms is that the Cultists have sleeves and gloves and the Marauders don't. If you want more weapon options, the Barbarians box may be a better choice.

The problem I see it GW figs are so chunky. Where was FG has more realistic proportions.

Would be cool if it works though.

Well I am mainly thinking that the cultist heads will be a nice change for the marauders/thugs. I just found the Avatars of War "Marauders of the apocalypse" and might get them too. As far as I can tell no-one makes 28mm plastic gladiators, which would have been useful too.
