After the success of his novel, Wells imagined an entire (now again a more peaceful) ecosystem for Mars. In the cold atmosphere the Martians evolved feathers and in the low gravity field of Mars wings are quite useful, an idea already proposed by the astronomer Flammarion, image in public domain." link link link Except for the wings, they look a bit like alien "Greys", don't they? I see they were going for the National Geographic pictorial with that female w the flowers (I think that's a female) w the gazoongas exposed ! 😍 They are creepy to me. |
