This is a fascinating battle with French and English on one side, Spanish, British royalists in exile and French rebels on the other. I have been gradually building the armies to re-fight the battle in 28mm over the past couple of years. Now they have finally seen action
A full battle report with pics can be found at link It made for a great game as fortunes swung back and forth right to the end. The rules used were Close Fire and European Order (17th century version). They are available as a free download from my website at link |

Wonderful looking game. I really like how you presented the gently rolling dunes. A fascinating period. Thanks for posting. |

Simon, Nice report and good looking armies. Is that Conde's regiment in the upper right hand corner? Cheers, Robert |

Very good looking and interesting game. As has been mentioned your terrain setup is particularly evocative. Nicely done. |

@ timurilank. No it is not Condé's as they were on the opposing side on the Spanish far right out of the photo. The regiment you mention is Rambures (later Béarn). You can just barely make out Condé's beside the blue and striped flag unit (Persan) in the upper left of this photo
And below is the great man himself from an earlier post.
