Great work, Mr. H. To my old eyes the fleet is glowing in space. Hah! Love it! Capt. Zeelow, Retired Space Jockey |

Subtle, yet 'buyable', as in really sells as starships waiting to put someone in harm's way. I'd say you have the battle half won. Doug |

Thanks! The battle went… OK :) We used the SSDs from the mechaworld.de starter set, but only a couple of ships. My ships had more thrust but not nearly as much armor or weaponry so I was taken out pretty quick in the straight up fight. We're working on making some terrain and i've been mulling over how I can use the thrust advantage with cinematic movement. If you have any suggestions please pass along :) |

Might give a try with smaller MU's, assuming you were using inches. In the same board, the difference between them, and say, CM's, can be surprising as you're able to get more breathing room on the same sized table. Natch, if you're in ships that take damage quicker, there's no substitute for experience to build 'finesse' as opposed to the blunt force of ESU or especially NSL. Was one side SML-heavy? I also tend to find if I've fast ships AND SML's, basically the FSE model, the slower ships' predictability can be telling. Note, I'm a fanboy, not an expert. I get my clock regularly cleaned the few chances I get to play. ;->= Doug |
