Looking for suggestions for suitable infantry figures for the DRA regular forces to go alongside the Soviets. From what I can see, they appear to have worn a soft peaked cap, rather than helmets.

I see GHQ do figures with peaked caps in their Brushfire range but they are mixed in with figures wearing berets.

Might want to check out Irregular Miniatures. Check their modern in 6mm and look for Arab Infantry. Be MAF66 to MAF71. Maybe try militia infantry from Scotia & Grendel under Modern Chinese,CM1002 – Militia Infantry (there's no picture.) Could try checking out H&R Modern Soviets, might be something there that could work. I'm sure you know you you're more limited when working with 6mm. Anyway hope this was some help and best of luck.

Yep,

Good old IM comes up with the goods: generic infantry in peaked caps with firearms, HMGs and mortars.

Thanks for the suggestion.

Could you please post some pictures when you get the minis? Ideal would be raw, unpainted thank you. It annoys me when there are no pictures for various goods. What really annoys is when they are painted and based and totally hidden by the flocking on the base (hear me H&R!). Or shot at a very small size.

Stephen,

It may be a while, but I will certainly try to remember.

Alan, the H&R "Rebel Forces – Insurgent Infantry" under the Irregular forces category could work.

They have soft caps and submachine guns and 1 man in the strip has an RPG.
Missing is the distinctive AK-47 or AK-74, but they would still be fine for DRA (And that's what I'm going to use mine for!)

Tom,

Thanks for the suggestion of H&R.
